Tell Your State Representative: Vote YES on Pastor Protection Bill

The Texas House is scheduled to debate and vote on the Pastor Protection Bill this coming Thursday, May 21. Please immediately contact your State Representative to ask for their support of the Pastor Protection Bill, without any amendments! The ACLU and others have tried to change the bill, but they have been unsuccessful, so far.

The Texas Senate already passed the Pastor Protection Bill (SB 2065) last week. SB 2065 has significant support from a wide variety of pastors, church leaders, lay people, and grassroots Texans from all over the state. If the Texas House passes the bill on Thursday, without any amendments, the Pastor Protection Bill will be headed to Gov. Abbott’s desk. And Gov. Abbott has already indicated his intention to sign the bill!

With just days left in the session, we must pass SB 2065 and protect Texas pastors and churches from being forced to perform any marriage ceremony that goes against their sincerely-held religious beliefs. As the recent same-sex “marriage” oral arguments at the U.S. Supreme Court revealed and testimony from concerned Texas pastors has clearly shown, this threat is real.

We are truly thankful for the thousands of faithful Texans and numerous Pastors that have been actively engaged in supporting this bill. We need your continued activism today and tomorrow to get this bill across the finish line. Passing the Pastor Protection Bill is very important to protecting religious freedom in Texas.

Please Call and Email your State Rep. in Support of the Pastor/Clergy Protection Act:

And, most importantly, please join us in prayer that the bill passes overwhelmingly. If the bill passes the Texas House with at least 100 votes, it will go into effect as soon as Gov. Abbott signs the bill.
